IWPC 2023 again featured our popular gift basket raffle. Proceeds are contributed to the scholarship funds of the Illinois Water Environment Association and the Illinois Association of Water Pollution Control Operators.
Three raffles -- held in the exhibit hall and outside after technical sessions -- raised over
$2,785. The pro eeds will help fund $500 scholarships to college bound high school seniors, $1000 scholarships to a college students pursuing a career in the water environment industry. The funds raised by the basket raffle also support the annual Sylvanus Jackson Scholarship to the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville’s Environmental Resources Training Center.
Raffle baskets were dontated by Exhibitors and IWEA and IAWPCO Board and Committee members.
