Nutrient Analysis Workshop
Nutrients are currently a hot topic in wastewater treatment. Nitrogen and phosphorus are causing hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico, so wastewater treatment plants are being required to reduce nutrient levels in their effluent. This workshop will focus on learning about the different forms of nitrogen and phosphorus as well as learning the various analytical methods used to measure them. The workshop will be hands-on with each participant analyzing samples for ammonia and phosphorus.
